Six Years since Near Drowning and Hypoxic Brain Injury

9 April… Today marks six years since Samuel’s near drowning and resulting hypoxic brain injury.

It is six years that has come with a lot of heartache and has included many, many challenges. Challenges that have continued to show Samuel’s strength, tenacity and fighting spirit.

Alongside the heartache and challenges of dealing with his complex array of disability, Samuel has inspired and motivated not only his family and friends, but many people in the Life Saving, Learn to Swim, Medical and Aquatics industries as well as in the community in general.

Samuel is the reason for and the driving motivator of this Foundation. It is milestones like today that remind us of the vision of the Samuel Morris Foundation;

* Zero Toddler Drownings, and
* The best possible quality of life for kids with brain injuries.
